Why learning Spanish is more important now than ever
Rankings for the top native speaking language are 1. Mandarin, 2. English, 3. Spanish, 4. is Hindi. Currently if you are reading this, you already speak English, and having the ability to speak one of the other top 3 languages in the planet would of course be of big benefit in many ways. If you live in the USA you would instantly know that Spanish is widely spoken there, as one in ten people speak Spanish within the USA.
From a purely business standpoint Spanish is the plain initial alternative when deciding which language to choose as a second language. The reasons are usually pragmatic reasons. For instance, China will not have extremely open trade with the west, and learning Chinese wouldn't be a huge advantage for business, while India does have free trade, most business people already speak very good English in India (whether or not the accent could be hard to perceive).
Taking employment, and employee skills into consideration is a massive issue in branching to a replacement language. If you are dealing with spanish speaking firms then having talented people that can also speak spanish is a huge bonus for the employer and also for an employee looking to safeguard their job or look for a brand new job or even a promotion.

In the USA there are estimates that around 40 p.c of all economic growth will be attributed to the hispanic speaking community. The hispanic speaking community makes up solely eleven p.c (thirty five million) of the population. In my book that is a massive gap which will be filled by more hispanic speaking individuals, and as time goes on the demand probably only increase for Spanish speaking people.
One widely accepted attribute to the growth of the Spanish Language in the USA is the trade agreements with Mexico and South America. This is often so successful that it will only grow.
In the USA it's terribly safe to mention the Spanish is the number one second language. In Europe of course it is a totally different story, since the primary language for most of Europe isn't English. As you'd guess the foremost popular second language to learn is English. English has become the default bridge language between countries, and surprisingly Spanish has become the second most popular language to be told as a second language (not French as you would assume).

Probably the most dominating argument for learning Spanish is that it's the third most commonly spoken native language in the planet, Mandarin is range 1, and English is number 2.
Another selfish reason to learn Spanish is that most spanish countries are in heat tourist friendly places. Thus one of the first belongings you learn is the way to order a beverage.
You will also interact within the native toungue of the increasing range of hispanic employees in several companies. Or after you visit parts of your own community and hear Spanish being spoken you'll be able to know what is being said and even be a part of in.
